Halloween

As everyone knows last night was Haloween. I have decided to write another (late) contribution to fall fest.

Silently I sit and wait
For it is getting late
Where are the tricks of the treat?
Hopefully they aren't already dead meat.

Why aren't I in the crisp night?
Getting candy to my delight
Why I stayed is out of sight
Will I go next year,
I just might
